Even my usually wary of strangers dog knew it :) noticed my flat tire thankfully 5 minutes around the corner from these guys, who were able to see me last minute and get me on my way within the hour at a super reasonable cost. Very thankful I got a flat in your town - wish all my trips to the mechanics could be this great! Thank you!

We were camping in Ontario with two kids. As we approached Kakabeka Falls the minor vibration in the steering wheel grew to a serious shake. We did a phone search for 'mechanic nearby' and Napa came up in this small town. Rick fit us in immediately to look at the issue - they diagnosed quickly that the brakes were shot. The went above and beyond, dropping us off at the Falls so our family could do our planned picnic and tour while they worked on the vehicle. The calipers and rotors were ordered in from Thunder bay and they put two mechanics on it over their lunch hour so they could get us on our way as soon as possible. Amazing guys!! Amazing work!! appreciate them so much!!!

I was travelling from Thunder Bay to Nestor Falls (south of Kenora) and started having some car trouble just outside Thunder Bay. I stopped in at Rick's Auto when I got to Kakabeka Falls and Tyler, the owner came out and took a look at it right away. He was able to determine that it was a pretty easy fix and had me back on the road in 15 min. Absolutely outstanding service and he wasn't going to charge me for it, but I insisted he take my money (enough to buy him lunch at least). As a woman travelling alone, that kind of amazing customer service is so appreciated. Thank you so much!

I was on way to Saskatchewan when truck started to sound awful. I figured it was the water pump and didn’t dare drive any further. I stayed the weekend at the nearby provincial park and showed up at the shop at 8am Monday morning.
Despite the fact that I didn’t have an appointment, they understood my predicament and did their best to get me back on my way. Carolyn made sure she got the right part and juggled the ongoing repairs in order to squeeze me in.
She runs the front office of that place like an air traffic controller, booking appointments, assigning work, ordering parts and creating invoices. It was something to watch.
Rick, the owner confirmed my suspicions about the water pump and explained that he would make sure to order all of the parts that might be needed from Thunder Bay. That way if they ran into a bad belt or pulley during the repair, I wouldn’t have to wait for more parts.
Jamie, the technician started to remove the pump before the parts arrived and once they did get there, he had it done in no time at all.
Everyone was super friendly, and professional and the price was very reasonable. I don’t live anywhere near there, but if I did, I would be taking my vehicle there.
They turned what could have been an awful situation into a positive experience!
